Piling a Single-Storey Home Extension in Dukinfield

Today, we completed the piled foundation for a single-storey home extension in the Dukinfield area of Manchester.

Piling was recommended due to the ground being back-fill clay, and in order to propose the most efficient and economical piling scheme, our Managing Director Brad completed a free site visit and site survey report on 14th April. It was quickly accepted by the builder, and the piling team of Danny and Sam began piling on Monday 17th April.

They drove 10 150mmø mini-piles on the 17th, then installed 18m of 500 x 350mm steel ring beam and poured 3.8 cubic metres of C35 on the 18th to complete the piled foundation in just 2 days.

The residence was just 2.5 miles from Rhino Piling HQ in Hyde. Allowing us to get there in just 10 minutes! As much as we like long, scenic drives, we must admit we enjoyed the very short commute on this one!
